History: Kyle Rowan created the Non-Binary Flag in 2014. The four horizontal stripes of the colors yellow, white, purple, and black symbolize the Non-Binary peoples’ experience. This flag was not intended to replace the Genderqueer flag but to be flown alongside it.

Flag Meaning
Yellow: Represents those whose gender falls outside of and without reference to the binary.
White: Represents people with many or all genders.
Purple: Represents those whose gender identity falls somewhere between male/female or is a mix of them.
